"Case Study: Rennes Tower"

XME have carried several Passivhaus schemes in recent years from houses to individual flats.

Our latest scheme is Rennes tower in Exeter for CG Fry. The contract consists of the installation of heat recovery ventilation to 26no flats. Passivhaus required the entire property to be sealed and vented via the heat recovery unit, it is very important to seal all penetrations maintaining building integrity. On completion of a Passivhaus, an air test is carried out to test integrity.  Rennes tower has incorporated the state of the art system from Zehander which complies to all relevant standards required for Certification and compliance. In addition to the Ventilation systems the whole domestic water, drainage, gas etc has been installed and commissioned as per architect instruction.

On completion of the project all systems are commissioned by our in-house engineers trained as per BPEC with all relevant certification supplied.
